Centuries ago, Templar knights defied the archangels and unearthed the copper scroll that revealed the locations of the gates to hell. Cursed for their forbidden act, they now roam the earth, protecting mankind from evil. But darkness stalks them, and battles they fight bring them ever closer to eternal damnation. One promise remains to give them salvation—the return of the seraphs.
Embittered by his purpose, Merrick du Loire must honor an ancient pact and bring peace to his cousin’s soul, releasing him from the clutches of their enemy. When he stumbles upon history professor Anne MacPherson, he discovers that she possesses a sacred artifact that marks her as a seraph. Duty demands he set aside his personal quest and locate the knight she’s fated to heal. As Merrick struggles with conflicting oaths, Anne arouses buried hope and sparks forbidden desire that challenges everything he’s sworn to uphold.
Anne has six weeks to complete her thesis on the Knights Templar. When Merrick takes her to the Templar stronghold, he presents her with all she needs—and awakens a soul-deep ache that he alone can soothe. Yet loving Merrick comes with a price. If she admits she is destined for him, her gift of foresight predicts his death.

In matters of the heart, would you risk it all?
Welcome to Mirabelle Harbor! In this scenic suburb on Chicago’s North Shore, overlooking the sparkling waters of Lake Michigan, the Michaelsen family has made their home for generations. Although their parents and grandparents are now gone, siblings Derek, Blake, Sharlene, and the twins—Chandler and Chance—all have fond memories of growing up in town, and most still live there.
Chance Michaelsen, the youngest member of the family (by two minutes) and the quietest (by far), is a dedicated twenty-eight-year-old personal trainer at the local gym. While he might not say much, Chance has made it clear that he’s not a fan of toxic people, unhealthy habits, or sharing too many of his emotions. With anybody.
Enter Antonia “Nia” Pappayiannis—the prettiest member of the loudest and most overly demonstrative family in town. They’re also the owners of The Gala, a Greek restaurant and bakery known for its decadent pastries and located just a few steps from Chance’s gym. He considers their entire family business to be the enemy of good health, but he can’t quite shake his attraction to Nia, who doesn’t seem nearly as impressed with him or his sculpted physique as most of the women around Mirabelle Harbor.
Unfortunately, between her doctor’s orders and the interfering ways of Chance’s crazy-making ex-girlfriend, who just happens to be one of Nia’s long-time friends, Chance gets assigned to be Nia’s fitness coach for the month. Pure torture. And if his ex weren’t already causing enough problems, he also has to deal with Nia’s current boyfriend—some hotshot Chicago CEO who talks big but, in Chance’s opinion, is as fake as a Styrofoam barbell.
The road to romance is going to be a rocky one, and though Nia has her doubts about moving forward, Chance has a well-developed competitive streak and might just be willing to give it a shot…if he can convince her to do the same.
Abby is alone…again. As a child, she learned how to be self-reliant, mask her emotions, and fade into the scenery. When she witnesses the murder of someone she loves, Abby must utilize these vital skills to stay alive. Abby retreats to her home state of Texas to lay low. When Bruce MacAlister walks into her life, determined to get to know her, he draws the kind of attention she doesn’t need. With new battle lines drawn, Abby has to make a choice – stay and endanger more lives than her own; or run, and be alone forever. From the author of Bruce’s Fall, Susan Byrde brings you Abby’s Road – the second novel in the “Abby’s Road Series.”
I really enjoyed reading this book. I felt that I had to give it a 5 star rating because it kept me turning the pages and I had a hard time putting it down. I liked the slower paced staging of the characters and story. It gave me a chance to get to know the main character, Abby. I also liked the way the author described so many scenes and places in such vivid detail. I honestly felt like I was there, like I could see or feel exactly what she was experiencing. The book was definitely full of one exciting event after the next. Sometimes I felt that it border lined being a little too eventful, almost to the point of feeling a bit exhausted. Overall I grew fond of the characters and found myself wanting to read more. I was sad to end the book and am looking forward to the next book in the series, eager to find out what becomes of Abby and Bruce. ~ Amazon Reviewer

Hera’s role–and survival–become more complicated as her attraction to Aethen grows stronger each day.

Du Bois (Frozen Apocalypse) by Theo Van Lieshout/ TJ Mines is highly enjoyable and well written. The story is very entertaining and has enough plot twists to keep you entertained.

Quotes from readers: “This is like the prelude to the Mad Max series!” – Richard “I need to know how it continues, give me the sequel.” – Maria
Shadows are often benign, nothing to truly fear, and yet our minds create from them. We see them twist and form into something sinister, something eerie, something that makes our skin crawl or our heart race. As the fog manipulates the landscape, so does it change the shadows. With our minds, we further pull from the blurry images and a tale is formed. From vengeful women to those that welcome death to haunting moments, these stories are a mixed bag of random dark tales from the mind of Amanda Leanne. Written over the past decade, this is a small compilation of stories pulled from the shadows in the fog.
This collection of dark and eerie stories contains eleven tales to wet your appetite. The Other side of the Mirror and Something’s Changed were certainly my favourites. I could easily see these being developed into fuller stories. I’m sure each reader will find something to appreciate and their own favourites. I especially liked that each story brought a new voice and direction with it. I would recommend this to all readers who enjoy dipping into dark tales, like me! ~~ review by Reader4life, on Amazon
Interesting plot with just enough description to beautifully paint the plot and characters without overly weighing down the story with excessive details. The writing flow is like gliding through the air. This author has created a story line like a chocolate bar in three pieces. The first third is wonderfully yummy and you can’t wait to get to the second portion, yet you want to savor every bite. Looking forward to the next book! ~ Kindle Customer review
